I chewed tobacco for almost a year and finally quit. However I recently noticed when I slide my tongue against my cheeks and gums, I have pockets in places where I kept the chew and the webs of gum tissue in my mouth have receeded. It has been about a year since I quit. Will these pockets fully go away and will the web of gum tissue return? If not, is there any way possible to correct this, even cosmetically?
