Dental Report

Any experience on getting 6 new veneers from a quality dentist at the most reasonable cost? What is reasonable for 6 veneers? In Tijuana are there quality dentist specializing in veneers and what would be cost there?

I have been offered by my dentist to have my implant done (at half the regular price which is $3000.00)by him to pass his implant examine under the guidance of a dental surgeon who has done 2000 of these surgeries. Should I do it? It is complicated to let someone do their first one in my mouth. It is my eye tooth. Any dentists out there to advise me. Tks. This surgery is scheduled for this sunday, so I need some feedback fast.

I had a bad tooth pulled yesterday. I thought something was caught in it until I realized it was HARD. So I took a tweezer and tried to pull it out! I can still feel it. What is this? I think part of the tooth is still in there but I have the tooth and it looks intact! I am freaking out here.

My fiance has a nasty tooth ache. I looked at it and it looks like he may have lost a filling! He said he thinks he may have lost it the other night eating pizza. He has never had pain like this and I need to know what to do to help him. We just can’t afford a dentist right now. I am so worried and need help in trying to help him. There is no swelling that I can see. I suggested he rinse his mouth with warm salty water and use Anebesol but it is not helping much or at least not for long. He has also taken some Ibuprofen. Hi, The tooth that was pulled almost two weeks ago, (I wrote about it here) has, in my opinion, caused the tooth in front of it to move. It feels different and the worst of it is I am in a lot of PAIN. I went back to the dentist and he said it was because I had been chewing, (nicorette gum) on that side. He said not to chew at all on that side for weeks. I have had teeth pulled before and never had this. This is the second molar from the back. The pain throbs and goes all the way to my ear. I am taking vicodin and am afraid of getting addicted to it.

I have to go to a periodontist to have scaling done on my teeth. They could not do the deep scaling in the dentist office and she recommended the periodontist. Has anyone had this done? Is it very painful whent the medicine wears off? Will I be very uncomfortable? I am scared to have it done.

Last week I got a filling in one of my teeth (technically between two teeth) and during the procedure I could feel the drilling but discounted that to the fact that the dentist hadnt waited that long after numbing me to start; furthermore, when I consume cold liquids now I can feel it inside the tooth but otherwise I feel no pain. Should I assume that a nerve is exposed and I need a root canal and how long can I wait before getting one if this is the case (I just recently got one in a different tooth and honestly have no plans of going near a dentist again for quite a while).

Did I read someplace correctly that one of the advantages with the laser drill is that the dentist could save a lot more teeth? True or hype? Are there any disadvanteges?
